WATERLOO:1815

Producer / Writer / Director

Waterloo:1815 is a play for young people, commissioned by Sefton Libraries Service, to commemorate the bicentenary of the Battle of Waterloo, and to develop students' knowledge of their own local history.

A soldier returns to his home town of Waterloo, near Liverpool, in 1816 — a year after the Battle of Waterloo.

A lot has changed. And over the coming decades, he describes how the growth of his home town contrasts with the scenes of destruction he witnessed whilst at the Belgian Waterloo.
